Losses from pests and diseases in almond orchards can be significant, and the new projects will address key problems, looking for improved management options for improved control. for pests, the main targets are Carpophilus beetle and carob moth, and for disease, hull rot and lower limb dieback.
Ag Dynamics have been engaged to support the projects in industry liaison, monitoring and evaluation and in economic benchmarking of control programmes. this support is under a sub-contract with Agriculture Victoria, and commenced in early 2018, running through until 2022.
